Nike Pro Sport Hijab

The Nike Pro Team (that designs underwear for athletes) got to work with the right insights to create a performance-hijab that feels just as light and comfortable as the other Nike Pro products, like a second skin. With this goal in mind, multiple prototypes have been developed.

The final design is easy to put on and is made of firm and durable single-layer Nike Pro mesh. This light polyester is Nike's best ventilating material. It contains small, strategically placed holes for optimal ventilation, but is soft and fully opaque at the same time. Above all, the mesh is elastic. When this gets combined with an elastic strap, the wearer can adjust the hijab to her head and her sports of choice.

As requested by the athletes, the designers have added a Nike Swoosh above the left ear to emphasize the innovative nature of this piece of performance clothing.
